Choi Woo Shik and Jung So Min are pairing up in a new SBS K-drama.

On February 4, it was officially confirmed that Choi Woo Shik and Jung So Min will be the main leads of the upcoming romantic comedy K-drama Would You Marry Me

Would You Marry Me tells the story of a man and woman who enter a 90-day fake marriage to claim a luxury townhouse prize the woman won after her engagement ended.

The upcoming K-drama will be the next project of Production Samhwa Networks and Studio S. It will be the joint work of director Kwon Da Som (Connection, My Demon, and Trolley) and writer Lee Ha Na (Rookie Cops, The Time We Were Not in Love, and Cunning Single Lady).

Would You Marry Me will premiere in the second half of 2025.  It will be part of SBS’ upcoming K-dramas.

Choi Woo Shik portrays Kim U Ju, a perfectionist and the sole heir to the 80-year-old Myungsoondang bakery.  He’ll do anything to protect his family’s legacy and honor his late father. He will become intertwined with Yoo Me Ri and enter a fake marriage.

This will be the third upcoming K-drama of Choi Woo Shik. The actor will also star in the Netflix original series Melo Movie with Park Bo Young, Lee Jun Young, Jeon So Nee, Kim Jae Wook, and Cha Woo Min. He will also lead the Disney+ fantasy K-drama The Waking.

Jung So Min plays Yoo Me Ri, a quirky, hot-tempered designer whose engagement ends after infidelity and a rental scam.  Winning a luxury townhouse (a newlywed prize) after the breakup, she enters a fake marriage with Kim U Ju, who shares her ex-fiance’s name, to protect her new home.

Meanwhile, this will be Jung So Min’s follow-up K-drama after the successful 2024 series Love Next Door with Jung Hae In, Kim Ji Eun, Yun Ji On, Park Ji Young, and Jo Han Chul.
